Privacy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

This Privacy notice applies to browsing https://allendavis.net and related static assets. The site is operated by Allen Davis. For privacy questions, use the contact method listed on my LinkedIn profile or the email address published there when available.

Who we are

AllenDavis.net is a personal informational website. There is no user account system, no newsletter signup, and no contact form on this site at this time.

What we collect (and what we do not)

We do not gather content or personal information beyond what is required to serve the website.

Automatically (delivery and security)

When you request a page, the hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare Pages when deployed) may process transient request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and the requested URL. That processing is solely to deliver pages, provide security, and operate the network—not intentional product analytics.

Not collected by this site

We do not collect account credentials, payment data, advertising identifiers, device fingerprints for tracking, newsletter email addresses, or form submissions. If a future feature adds any of these, this notice will be updated in the same change set.

Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)

Processing Purpose Typical legal basis
CDN/host request logs and edge delivery Serve pages, TLS, DDoS/abuse protection Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) and/or necessary to provide the service you requested
Optional future contact API Respond to a message you send Legitimate interests or performance of a request / consent if relied upon

There is no automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Recipients, processors, and international transfers

Categories of recipients include the website hosting / CDN provider. When Cloudflare Pages is used, processing may occur in multiple countries. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for transfer mechanisms (adequacy decisions, SCCs, etc.). We do not invent safeguards beyond those of the provider.

Retention

Delivery and security logs are retained only as long as the host/CDN retains them for security and operations (per provider policy), not for marketing. This project does not maintain a longer-term personal database of visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site sets no non-essential cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tags. If the host sets strictly necessary technical cookies solely to provide the service, they are not used for tracking. No cookie consent banner is required for optional tracking that this site does not use.

Your rights under the GDPR

If the GDPR applies to you, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability (Arts. 15–21), to withdraw consent where processing was based on consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us via the method above to exercise rights. We do not sell personal data; processing is limited to serving the site.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA:

  1. Categories of personal information in the prior 12 months: none beyond transient technical data needed to serve the site (e.g. IP address and request metadata processed by the host/CDN).
  2. Sources: the consumer’s browser/device via HTTP requests.
  3. Business purposes: serve and secure the site only.
  4. Disclosure: no sale; disclosure limited to processors providing hosting/CDN as needed to operate the service.
  5. We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  6. We do not use sensitive personal information for inferences or secondary purposes.
  7. Consumer rights: know/access, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/sharing (not applicable because we do not sell or share for advertising), limit use of sensitive PI where applicable, and non-discrimination.
  8. How to submit requests: contact via LinkedIn messaging or the email published on that profile; monitor that channel. If only one practical channel is available today, requests are still accepted there.
  9. Last updated date appears at the top of this notice.

U.S. state privacy rights

Many U.S. state laws require a clear privacy notice describing categories processed, purposes, sharing, and how to exercise rights. For this site’s minimal posture:

  • We do not sell personal data and do not engage in targeted advertising or sale-based processing.
  • Categories and purposes match the sections above.
  • To submit access, deletion, correction, or opt-out requests, use the contact method above. Opt-out of sale/targeted ads: there is nothing to opt out of because those activities do not occur.
  • If a request is denied, you may appeal via the same contact channel; we will respond within applicable statutory timelines where required (e.g. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut).

Security and changes

We rely on HTTPS and host security measures. No website can claim perfect security. Material changes will update this notice and the Last updated date. If product behavior changes (for example, adding a contact form), this notice and project documentation will be updated together.
